Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia
The Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia is a twin-turboprop commuter airliner, produced by Embraer of Brazil and when it was introduced, it changed regional air travel. Probably the closest to a modern replacement for the DC-3, the Brasilia attracted immediate interest from many regional airlines, particularly in the U.S. The size, speed and ceiling allowed faster and more direct services around the U.S. and Europe, compared to similar aircraft. For the first time in aviation history, communities — and the regional airlines connecting them — had an aircraft specifically designed to meet their needs.
